Curved accretion disks around rotating black holes without reflection symmetry

چکیده
Rotating black holes without equatorial reflection symmetry can naturally arise in effective low-energy theories of fundamental quantum gravity, particular, when parity-violating interactions are introduced. Adopting a theory-agnostic approach and considering recently proposed Kerr-like hole model, we investigate the structure properties accretion disk around rotating symmetry. In absence symmetry, is general curved surface shape, rather than flat lying on plane. Furthermore, parameter $\epsilon$ that controls asymmetry would shrink size prograde innermost stable circular orbits, enhance efficiency converting rest-mass energy to radiation during accretion. The retrograde orbits stretched but effects substantially suppressed. addition, find spin measurements based gravitational redshift observations disk, assuming Kerr geometry, may overestimate true values if central object actually with conspicuous asymmetry. qualitative results becomes shrunk turn out be generic our model small.

Horizon-Penetrating Transonic Accretion Disks around Rotating Black Holes
The stationary hydrodynamic equations for the transonic accretion disks and flows around rotating black holes are presented by using the Kerr-Schild coordinate where there is no coordinate singularity at the event horizon. We use two types of the causal viscosity prescription, and the boundary conditions for the transonic accretion flows are given at the sonic point. For one type of the causal ...
متن کاملSporadically Torqued Accretion Disks Around Black Holes
The assumption that black hole accretion disks possess an untorqued inner boundary, the so-called zero torque boundary condition, has been employed by models of black hole disks for many years. However, recent theoretical and observational work suggests that magnetic forces may appreciably torque the inner disk. This raises the question of the effect that a time-changing magnetic torque may hav...
متن کاملPhysics Fundamentals of Luminous Accretion Disks around Black Holes
These lectures provide an overview of the theory of accretion disks with application to bright sources containing black holes. I focus on the fundamental physics of these flows, stressing modern developments and outstanding questions wherever possible. After a review of standard Shakura-Sunyaev based models and their problems and uncertainties, I describe the basic principles that determine the...
متن کاملNeutrino-cooled Accretion Disks around Spinning Black Holes
Abstract. We calculate the structure of accretion disk around a spinning black hole for accretion rates Ṁ = 0.01− 10M⊙ s−1. The model is fully relativistic and treats accurately the disk microphysics including neutrino emissivity, opacity, electron degeneracy, and nuclear composition. We find that the accretion flow always regulates itself to a mildly degenerate state with the protonto-nucleon ...
متن کاملLyman Edge Features from Accretion Disks Around Maximally Rotating Supermassive Black Holes
We calculate the amplitude of the Lyman discontinuity for an accretion disk around a maximally rotating black hole. The locally emitted disk spectrum is computed with a previously developed numerical model (Sincell & Krolik 1998) and then a new general relativistic ray-tracing code is used to determine the observed spectra as a function of inclination angle, θo. We find that Lyman discontinuiti...
